She was born in Çanakkale in 1973. She completed her primary-secondary-high school education in Çanakkale. In 1993, she started working as a civil servant at Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University Directorate of Personnel Department. She graduated from Anadolu University Open Education Faculty Public Relations Associate Degree Program in 1998 and Anadolu University Faculty of Economics Department of Economics in 2008. In 2010, she was appointed as the State Conservatory School Secretary by proxy. In 2011, she was appointed as the State Conservatory School Secretary. Figen KARAKAYA, who continues this duty, is married and mother of one child.
